English
instructor Jeff Levinson set up a poster exhibit in his classroom
showing the face of the Holocaust through everyday images of
the time including the worried faces of adults, the blankness
of children, and a town where people are waving Nazi flags.
Levinson
uses this exhibit in conjunction with the reading of Elie Wiesel’s
book about the Holocaust, “Night” with
his ninth graders. The
students were asked to view the photographs, then write a poem
or essay which reflected their thoughts about the atrocity.
