Platt
Tech Culinary Arts Students and Staff Visit Italy
A
group of Platt Tech Culinary Arts students and staff used the
time during their spring vacation to jet across the Atlantic to
sunny Italy. The group stayed four days in Ravelo as a base of
operations. From there they visited the cities of Positano and
Amalfi where they swam in the Mediterranean Sea. They also got
the chance to see the buried city of Pompeii.
They also participated in two cooking lessons with a highly regarded
Italian chef and food historian. On the group's last night in
Ravelo, Platt Tech students and staff hosted a dance party with
40 students from the school of tourism of Amalfi . In their final
three days, they visited Rome to see all of the famous landmarks
such as the Sistine Chapel, St. Peters, the coliseum and much
more. The trip was educational but also a lot of fun.
