Platt’s “ Living Laboratory” was formally reopened on April 22nd. The outdoor classroom, affectionately called “The Swamp”, was built by the Carpentry Department and opened in 2003. Two summers ago, the area was vandalized and set on fire. Through a grant from Skills-USA and Lowe’s materials were purchased and the classroom was repaired by Carpentry and set up with lights and security cameras thanks to the electrical and Electro-Mechanical Departments. A ribbon cutting ceremony allowed local dignitaries and students to inspect and enjoy the wonderful job our students did. |
