On January 6th Jose Pizarro, a Junior at A.I. Prince Tech,
was given the award of Eagle Scout by the Three Rivers Council
of the Boy Scouts of America. Jose is a junior in Information System
Technology (IST) and is one of a handful of students who work
at Travelers Insurance Company.
Patricia Mann, the IST department
head, recently stated that she finds Jose to be a very dependable,
studious young man who knows what he wants out of life. Jose plans
on advancing his IST training and hopes to work at Microsoft Corporation.
Jose used his determination to achieve twenty-five merit badges
and during the implementation of his Eagle Service Project - the
posting of the "Buckle
Up Seat Belts" street signs throughout Hartford. Working
with the Kiwanis New England Foundation, he presented his idea
to over 2100 second-graders in the Hartford school system.
According to the Boy Scouts of America, only 5% of scouts reach
the status of Eagle. Prince
Tech is very proud to have Jose in our ranks.
