Identification and Definition of the Service Delivery Model  

School to Career Service Delivery Model:  Connecticut Technical High School 

Generic Definition:

·         All aspects of teaching/learning in the school, in the community, and in the workplace.

(Whereas other models develop specific clusters for specific students)

·         Vinal is developing nearly all clusters and implementing for all students.

·         Impacting daily routine of all students.

·         Every student receives cluster and workplace readiness skills, career exploration, and work-based learning opportunities leading to specific occupation training at an in-depth level. 

Tools and resources used to manage the system:

·         Site-based Management - Action Team (School Improvement Teams year 2)

·         Leadership and collaboration from Region E

·         Career Center Coordinator

  • Work-based Outreach, Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, Middlesex Consortium, Craft Committees, and the Teachers Union.

Environmental concerns and instruction are an intricate part of each technology. Students work in environments where they must assure best practices. Natural resources are also integrated into each technology. The stands that integrate each cluster for the CTHSS system are Entrepreneurial ship and Business and Finance, as well as, Art as it applies to each career taught at Vinal.
