A description of the Connecticut Academic and Employability Skills that are common to each of the eight Connecticut Career Clusters. A description of the two categories listed in the SCANS Skills: Foundation Basics and Employability skills. The CT Skill Requirements and SCANS Skills are very similar and therefore will be found listed together. Also provided is the information on how these skills are cross walked with the curriculum taught at Vinal Technical High School. There are links to example lessons and applications when ever possible. There is a major section containing the Operations Manual from the STC Demonstration Grant that Vinal was awarded during the 1998-1999 School year. This is an manual that explains how we are changing and improving our school according to School-To-Career guidelines.
