The Carpentry Class of
2011 class
and their instructtor Mr. Bisson are constructing a new peg board
for the gymnasium. They used mahogany for the face of the project
and hard maple for the frame and supports (they refer to the
back supports as popsicle sticks). They will also make the pegs
out of hard maple, on the lathe. Every component has been glued
and screwed together to endure the stress of students using it
to climb up, for physical fitness and gaining upper body strength.
Gino Cardella and Mead Close are the primary builders, but the
rest of the class has helped at different times. This is gift
to the school from the Carpentry Department. Two more coats of
polyurethane and they will be installing it in the gym.
