Petra Construction Corporation Partners with Eli Whitney Technical High School
for Work Based Learning
Junior
Carpentry student Norberto Quiles is learning about exotic woods
from his mentor, Mr. Mark Cofrancesco, Architectural Mill Shop
Foreman at Petra Construction Corporation. Cofrancesco is
training the student as part of the Work Based Learning (WBL)
Program at Whitney Tech. African mahogany, Anigre, Fiddleback
sycamore and Lacewood are just some exotic woods Norberto is
learning to work with in this promising paid internship activity.
As he develops his fine carpentry skills, he will be exposed
to construction projects at private schools, luxurious residences,
churches, corporate buildings, health facilities and more. This
work-study opportunity will allow him to fulfill his career objectives
and perhaps provide him a great income opportunity after graduation.
Petra
Construction Corp. is a prestigious construction company involved
