The Annual Field Day at Whitney Tech took place on Tuesday, June 5th. Before activities began, students watched a presentation on the dangers of drinking and driving - an important message to convey with the upcoming Prom and Graduation season. The Hamden police and fire department simulated an accident, the use of the jaws of life, a sobriety test and a mock arrest. It was a really powerful presentation that involved the Whitney Tech Automotive Technology department, the local EMS response team, teachers and a number of student volunteers.
