Junior and Senior girls are practicing daily after school until 3:30.

Powder Puff Football Game Played at Wilcox Tech

Tuesday, November 21, 2007 Wilcox Tech made history with the
playing of the first Powder Puff Football game. A large crowd
of enthusiastic fans turned out for the game between the Junior
girls versus the Senior girls. Principal Richard Cavallaro did
the coin toss at mid-field with both teams looking on. Both teams
played very well with the game with a tie - 28-28.
The cheerleading squad was made up of boys football players and
girl cheerleader coached by Kathy Cardillo. The boy’s football
team and Coach Haney coached the girls. Cavallaro said that he was
proud of his students and the whole Wilcox Tech community who came
out to support the girls. He said that next year a Wilcox Tech girls
team will be playing Saint Paul's High School of Bristol on Thanksgiving
Day.
