Update-Culinary Arts Senior
Competes in Dessert Competition |
| On Saturday, April 18th, Stephanie Harriott,
a Senior in the Culinary Arts program, competed at the
Connecticut Culinary Institute for a chance to win a college scholarship.
Stephanie placed fourth amoung twenty other students and earned a $2,000 scholarship to Connecticut Culinary Institute which she plans on attending next fall. Stephanie created a chocolate tarte with mango and raspberries with a choclate sauce. She had a three hour window to create her pastry which was judged on creativity, sanitation, preparedness and inspirational influence. Stephanie hopes to pursue a career
in the baking and pastry industry which she wrote about for her entry into the competition. Stephanie said she was a little nervous and the hardest part was finding the ingredients and bakeware in an unfamiliar kitchen. Great job Stephanie!! |
