The staff and students of WTHS participated
in the 2nd annual Stuff a Cruiser event. This tradition was started
last year by our School Resource officer, Trooper Fred Brigger.
Students are encouraged to bring in enough toys to fill his police
cruiser. Due to the snow storm, we were not able to use the cruiser
and had to use Mrs. Scheff’s family van. This proved to be
best!
There
were so many toys, so many they never would have fit in the cruiser.
Braving 14 degree temperature four students helped load the van.
All the toys were given to the Willimantic office of Catholic Charities.
Sean Feeney, site supervisor, was overwhelmed by the amount of
toys dropped off and said that this was a great help to many who
are struggling during these tough economic times. Great Job
Windham Tech staff and students!!
