This is
an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education
for all children and to encourage support for quality art programs. The
month long event is sponsored by The Art and Creative Materials
Institute, Inc. and is created in cooperation with the National
Art Education Association. The purpose is to emphasize the
value of participating in art for all children.
As such, I’d
like to notify you of the “March is Youth Art Month!” events
that will be taking place at Windham Technical High School. There
will be displays all over the school highlighting student artwork,
various artists’ quotes about the role of art in society and
available careers in the field of art. The library
will be participating in the month long event by featuring books
about Art in general and artists in particular. Posters, done
by students, will be displayed throughout the building. “March
is Youth Art Month” will be included in morning announcements
which will feature students talking about art and it’s importance
to them. |
