Robert
Pratt, a Senior
in Culinary Arts program, has been selected as Windham Tech's Student
of the Year. Robert is the Class Historian and is
involved in numerous student activities including Skills USA, Yearbook,
Senior Mentors and Drama. Robert greets the school every morning
by broadcasting the morning announcements via closed-circuit television.
Needless to say, Robert takes an active role in school and the school’s
community.
Robert
recently finished first in Job Skill Demonstration at the Skills
USA State Conference. He will represent Windham Tech and the Connecticut
Technical High Schools at the National Conference in Kansas City
this summer, where he has high hopes of finishing first nationally.
Robert has been a High Honors student for the past two years and
will attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY this
fall. Robert
has a positive attitude about school and his education. His active
role in school has made other students take notice and want to become
more involved. Robert is truly one who leads by example.
Robert,
along with Students of the Year from the other 17 Technical High
Schools, was honored at the annual Students of the Year Luncheon
at Platt Technical High School on Thursday, May 30rd. Congratulations
Robert!
