| The
school chapter of the National Honor Society is named after former
Director, John D. Clarke. Students who show evidence of outstanding
scholarship, leadership, character, and service are eligible for
election to this group. To be eligible scholastically, a student
must have an overall average of 85. A faculty committee screens
eligible candidates. Those chosen for membership in their junior
year receive National Honor Society pins and certificates in an
induction ceremony held annually. Membership in this organization
is one of the highest honors a secondary school student can receive.
