OWTS Scholarship Pamphlet 2009 - 2010:

In early December, a newly revised and expanded document was made available to seniors who want to apply for local, state or national awards.  The reformatted version makes it easier to find specific scholarships.  The senior class counselor provided the pamphlets directly to students through shop presentations.  It is the students’ responsibility to take it home to review with parents /guardians.

Scholarship applications are sent to the guidance office in late-Fall through May, on a continuing basis.  Based upon the deadline listed in the pamphlet, the application is generally available only about a month prior to the deadline.  A notice that an application form has arrived is sent to each senior shop instructor and it will be posted on the bulletin board in shop. Students need to attend to these notices and then come to the guidance office to obtain the application.

Not all national scholarships will be listed, as the number is great.  Students and parents can go to the following web sites for national searches: www.fastweb.com        www.srnexpress.com/index.cfm  http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_ss/welcome.jsp   www.collegenet.com/mach25/      www.wiredscholar.com/   .ScholarshipExperts.com
