Pepper Wins Superintendents' Award
Senior
Plumbing and Heating student Lance Pepper was honored at the
Cornicopia on November 19th as a two-time winner of the Northwestern
Connecticut’s Superintendents' Award. The award
is based on leadership, academic achievement, community service,
and character.

Lance
is a Work-based Learning student, who works at Scoville Plumbing
and Heating in Torrington. He has participated in many
fundraisers for Cystic Fibrosis. He volunteers at the local
Food Pantry, and also tutors elementary students at Torringford
Elementary School. At school he helps with our annual Thanksgiving
Dinner for locally needy people and the Breakfast with Santa
program.
“When
Mr. Danielczuk told me I had won again, I was very proud to be
chosen as the only representative from our school,” said
Lance recently.
Mr.
Danielczuk commented that “Lance is an outstanding student
and a fine representative of the OWTS community. He is
an honor student that excels in academics and shop. He
is involved in sports and community service, in addition to working
an outside job. Lance is a leader and works well with his
peers and instructors. We are proud of his many accomplishments.”
