Freshman Lauren Becker knew which shop she wanted to join early in the year - Collision Repair and Refinishing. Lauren has an interest in welding and fabrication. Her father is a welder and when she was little she saw him creating metal sculptures.

Lauren's exploratory phase opened her up to using welders and plasma cutting equipment that she remembers her father using. In this project Lauren is using equipment and welding techniques used in the collision industry. It is also preparing her for a portion of the NOCTI exam which she will take in her Senior year. Lauren hopes to one day own her own body shop and sell her future art work. Lauren also is a singer and guitarist in a rock band.
