Culinary Arts Students Job Shadowing at Stew Leonard’s
Culinary Arts Freshmen and Seniors spend the day job shadowing at the Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk.

Unlike most American grocery stores which stock as much as 30,000 different items, Stew’s sells about 2,000 different food items in the store at any given time. All the food is freshly baked, roasted, poached, simmered, stewed, fried or barbecued on the premises. The produce and seafood areas are extensive. This provides an outstanding opportunity to job shadow in a “living laboratory” devoted almost exclusively to food preparation and presentation.
