TEAM PHILOSOPHY

COMMITMENT :

This is a quality High School and it will take a serious commitment on your part. We practice Monday through Friday, some Saturdays, on half days, on school holidays and on vacations. When we have practice you are expected to be there. All High School athletes must sacrifice of their free time to play, which goes with the job. If there is a reason why you can't be at practice we want to know about it ahead of time. Your are to notify a coach, call our voice mail if you are absent or can not make practice. No practice, No play.

COMMUNICATION:

A Team cannot be successful and exist if there is not good communication between its members. You must communicate with each other and develop friendships. These bonds will help carry you through the tough times and there will be tough times. You must also communicate with your coaches . They expect you to inform them if there are situations in school, at home or on the team which is giving you trouble. We can't help you if we don't know about them.

ATTITUDE:

Attitude is everything in life. It determines where you go and how you get there. We teach the winning attitude and spirit and don't tolerate losers. We expect you to be positive and learn to channel your negative energy into positive energy. You must be able to accept correction and criticism since it is our ultimate goal to make you better player and a better person. You must be coach able!

DISCIPLINE:

Your behavior in school, in practice, and at the games is to be the best it can be. We have a reputation of having a class sports program because we do the right thing a lot. You will go to all your classes all the time and be the example in them. You must learn and live up to these standards.

DESIRE:

Sports are extracurricular activities. We expect you come to practice daily with a lot excitement. You are here because you want to be , not because you have to be. In practice we work very hard and we expect you to give your maximum effort for the two hours or so you are here. You can't get better if you don't work hard and it takes no skill

to work and play hard. You must live by our Team motto: NOBODY WORKS HARDER THEN US! NOBODY

DRESS:

Your appearance is important . It is a reflection of your self-respect and pride. It also is a reflection of your school, your coaches and your program . We have a uniform dress code and non-uniform dress code if you are unable to play that day. You are expected to follow them at all times. Take PRIDE in yourself and your TEAM .

RESTRICTIONS:

SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED. USE OF ALCOHOL, DRUGS OR ANY CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AT ALL TIMES. VIOLATIONS OF THESE WILL RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM THE TEAM.

These are the basic premises by which we exist as a Team. You must learn them, accept them and live by them. Once you do this you will never regret it and you will become a better player and a better person. We expect and demand a lot from you. Understand this and be ready to rise to our challenge: This is a Team sport and the Team not the individual, is the focus. BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE ALL THE TIME.
