Mrs. Sonntag teaches Law as an elective to the Juniors and Seniors. After students learn about trial procedures, they take part in a mock trial-usually a criminal case. Taking place in the Media Center, the students play the role of prosecuting attorneys, defense attorneys, witnesses, the defendant, and the court bailiff. Assistant Principal Justin Lowe acts as the Judge.

Although the cases include issues based on real situations, they are specifically designed by attorneys and judges for use as a mock trial.
