Sophomores
and Juniors along with their peers from several other area
high schools took part in participatory hands-on workshops
designed to showcase the diverse study options at Norwalk Community
College. The students chose 3 workshops from approximately
15 taught by actual faculty to “try out” college. They
followed their personal schedules around campus—just
like they’ll do when they matriculate at college – and
got a feel for their next academic challenge.
The
students enjoyed the following perks:
- boxed lunch for all participants subsidized bus transportation
- meetings with Admissions to begin the application process
on the spot
It was a
great experience and the students came back refreshed about their
current education and psyched for their future education. |
