#090-Carpentry.  Preferred candidate has eight years of relevant, varied, hands-on carpentry experience.  It is important that applicant show evidence of experience that covers all areas specified in the program description in order to effectively teach the approved carpentry curriculum.  There is no trade license requirement.  OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR are required.  Entry Level Microsoft Office Word & Excel skills are required.  Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the proper endorsements to drive a Student Transportation Vehicle (STV) are required within the first year of employment. Preferred skills are for the instructor to have taken VTE 113, VTE 116 and Special Ed 325.  Involvement in student/community activities and experience using technology for educational purposes.

#090 – Sustainable Architecture.  Applicants must provide documentation of eight years, relevant, varied, hands-on experience in architectural computer-aided design, drafting and related technologies. Applicants must demonstrate a strong background in the latest 2D and 3D CAD software applications (Autodesk products preferred including REVIT). Must demonstrate knowledge and/or experience with sustainable building design or Leadership in Energy and Environmental design (LEED) practices.
