Free Breakfast and Lunch for All Students

August 28, 2020

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch Program for school year 2020-2021. Under this provision, all technical high schools will provide FREE breakfast and lunch to all students, at all times. All students enrolled in a Connecticut technical high school will receive meals through the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) at no charge this school year. Each meal provided to students is comprised of meal components that mirror USDA’s My Plate model. Household income applications are no longer required to determine eligibility for free or reduced-price meals at schools participating in the CEP.
