Course Information
No new enrollments will be accepted for this semester.
Summer semester registration will open on April 6 and will remain open through April 23.
In-person registration is highly encouraged and will take place at A.I. Prince Technical High School:
401 Flatbush Ave. Hartford CT 06106
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday
The week of April 13th is Spring break, and in person assistance will not be available.
All registrations must be completed online through PowerSchool. Paper forms are no longer accepted. Students must complete their registration online before they can attend classes. If you need help with online registration, you may visit one of our locations during the designated days and times listed below.
All unpaid balances must be paid in full prior to completing registration.
Please note that each class requires a minimum number of enrolled students. Classes with fewer than seven students may be canceled.
Apprentices: $345 per course*, $50 non-refundable registration and technology fee
Extension: $370 per course*, $50 non-refundable registration and technology fee
All tuition is due April 29th. Registration fees are due at time of registration. If payments are not received on time, you will not be registered in the class.
Certified bank checks or money orders are accepted. No personal checks, cash or credit cards will be accepted. Please make certified bank check or money orders payable to: Treasurer, State of Connecticut. Credit cards, debit cards, and electronic payment options such as Apple Pay are not accepted at this time. An invoice may be printed during registration, and a receipt will be provided once payment is received.
*A $20 Tech Tutor fee applies to online classes. The Tech Tutor provides onboarding for new students and emergency technology support during classes.
Students who wish to transfer credits from another program must submit an official transcript, a course syllabus, and documentation of theory hours.
All transfer credit materials should be sent to the Adult Education Supervisors for review and approval.
Apprenticeship Credit Review Process
The CTECS Comparative Analysis Committee meets once per semester to evaluate submissions for credit award requests. To ensure a smooth and timely evaluation, please follow the submission guidelines below.
How to Submit Your Request
All physical documentation must be dropped off at one of our seven CTECS Adult Learning centers located across the state.

- Important Note: Submitting incomplete documentation will delay your evaluation process.
Submission Checklist
To ensure an accurate review, please verify that your packet includes the following five items:
- Apprenticeship Classification: Clearly state the trade for which you are requesting credit (e.g., P-2, S-2, E-2, etc.).
- Official Transcripts: Include original transcripts for all relevant coursework.
- Course Outlines & Syllabi: Provide detailed documentation for every course being reviewed.
- Total Theory Hours: Document the total number of in-seat theory hours (Note: Lab hours are not eligible for credit).
- CODES/Instructional Materials: Series of Building Codes the courses were taught to (i.e. NEC, IPC, etc.…)
2025-26 Summer Adult Education Courses
This is an accelerated pilot program run out of A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford only.
All courses will be delivered Asynchronous. Asynchronous courses are fully online and do not require students to be online at the same time.
Course work will be two modules per week for a total of 6 weeks.
Course work will be posted each Monday. Assignments are due each Sunday evening at 6pm.
The semester will commence on May 4th and classes will end June 16th. Grades are anticipated to be stored for transcripts by June 23rd.
