What better ambassadors could there be than high school juniors like Monet Francis of Trumbull or Hailee Harriman of Milford whose eyes light up talking about the tools they’ve created with their own hands?

Their teacher, Christopher Morgan, was getting them engaged in a topic that they are all very much aware of, whether Lil Tecca’s album should be consideredthe best rap album of the year.

Grasso Tech Opens Guest Services Management Program

Ella T. Grasso Technical High School, part of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), will open a Guest Services Management program this fall. Students in New London County, who are entering grade 11 in September, are eligible to apply for the two-year program. Grasso Tech is a grades 9-12, NEASC accredited, full-day high school program that focuses on rigorous core academics while preparing graduates for immediate employment, entry into apprenticeship programs or admission into a two-or four-year college.

CTECS Names Teacher of the Year

Steven Orloski, a manufacturing instructor at Emmett O’Brien Technical High School, located in Ansonia, CT, is the 2019 the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) Teacher of the Year, Superintendent of Schools Mr. Jeffery Wihbey announced today.
