CTECS Assistant Superintendent Appointment to Governor’s Workforce Council

Niki MenounosConnecticut Technical Education and Career Systems’ (CTECS) Assistant Superintendent Dr. Niki Menounos has been appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Council.

 The Governor’s Workforce Council is tasked with setting strategy and policy for the state’s Pre-K through retirement workforce pipeline, and to serve as the prime coordinator for businesses, educators, trainers, state agencies, state workforce boards, non-profits, and others.

“I am honored to have been appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Council,” said Dr. Menounos. “I am acutely aware of the critical role this council plays in shaping the future of Connecticut’s workforce. What makes this appointment most meaningful to me is the alignment between the council’s priorities and the core mission of CTECS. Our shared dedication to career readiness and supporting pathways to meaningful employment in the state will undoubtedly result in positive outcomes for CTECS students and Connecticut residents.”

Dr. Menounos has worked at CTECS for 33 years. In that time she has held the roles of Social Studies Teacher, General Education Department Head, Principal, and most recently Assistant Superintendent.
